The hotel
White rooms on a south-coast bay.
Carlisle Bay sits at Old Road in the parish of St Mary, on the south coast of Antigua. Mary Fox Linton, the London designer, gave it a spare white-on-white look that the MICHELIN Guide calls perhaps the most modern in the Caribbean. The suites run along the bay on two levels, with balconies above and terraces at sand level, and every one of them looks out to sea.
The first phase of a renovation was unveiled in October 2025: the Ocean, Bay and Garden suites, about half the resort, redone by Miminat Shodeinde of London with island textures. The beach suites and the three-bedroom suites followed in October 2026, the largest named after Antiguan places such as Signal Hill and Great Bird Island, with woodcuts by a local artist. The restaurants come next, with everything due by November 2027.
- A calm beach Water sports here are non-motorised only, so the bay stays free of jet skis and speedboats.
- Courts and a screen Five tennis courts and two for pickleball, a library, and a leather-lined screening room.
- CARA Spa A spa with a fitness centre and a yoga pavilion among the trees.
