The hotel

An island in the Thu Bon.

Namia opened in December 2024 on Cồn Ba Xã, a small islet in the Thu Bon River just outside the old trading port of Hoi An. T3 Architects and Kanopea Architecture Studio set the villas on stilts and shaped them after the nipa palms that grow wild along the banks. The mainland restaurant looks over a fishpond and a stretch of riverbank left in its natural state.

The house is built around Thuốc Nam, the herbal medicine of southern Vietnam. Every stay includes ninety minutes a day at the spa: thirty of hydrotherapy, then sixty of traditional treatment, chosen after a visit to the apothecary. The retreat belongs to Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and in 2026 the MICHELIN Guide gave it a Key in its first year in the selection.
