The hotel
A Czech accent on an Armenian lake.
Lake Sevan sits close to two thousand metres above sea level, about an hour and a half by road from the airport at Yerevan. The Bohemian Resort stands on its shore by the town of Sevan, on the road from Sevan to Dilijan, about five hundred metres before the peninsula where the monastery of Sevanavank looks over the lake. In summer, boats and jet skis go out from the hotel's own beach.
The name is a clue to the kitchen. Alongside Armenian dishes, the restaurant cooks from the Czech and wider European repertoire and pours Chodovar beer brewed in Bohemia. The hotel is small, with twenty-five rooms, and most of them are suites; some face the lake, and a few are set out as two-floor suites or bungalows by the water. Breakfast is a buffet, served in the restaurant.
- The beach The hotel sits on its own stretch of shore, with boats, pedalos and jet skis for the summer months.
- Pool by the lake A heated outdoor pool with a children's pool and a pool bar, open from 1 June to 15 September.
