The hotel
Under Naga Crest Hill.
Banyan Tree Krabi opened on 24 October 2020, on Tubkaek Beach, about twelve kilometres from Ao Nang. Behind it rises Naga Crest Hill, inside a national park, and in front the Andaman Sea runs out to the limestone Hong Islands. The resort took the naga, the water serpent of Thai myth, as its design theme, in stone and wood. It is owned by Asset World Corporation and run by Banyan Tree Group.
All 72 suites and villas have a pool, from the 99 square metre ocean pool suites to a presidential villa that opens to seven bedrooms. The MICHELIN Guide gave it two Keys in its first Thai selection in 2024 and has kept it there since, singling out Saffron on the hill and The Rainforest, the first hydrotherapy spa in Krabi. Below the hill sit the Beach Grill and Kredkaew, the beach bar.
