The hotel

Golf between the pines and the sea.

The Parador lies south of Valencia inside the Albufera Natural Park, on the strip of land between the lagoon and the Mediterranean. The building is modern and low, laid out parallel to the shore, with big windows and terraces turned to the sea. The city centre is under half an hour away by car, yet the view from the rooms is of water and trees.

Next door is the golf course. Javier Arana built it in 1968: eighteen holes, par 72 and 6,042 metres, laid out along the coast. The MICHELIN Guide calls it one of the best rated in continental Europe. The hotel keeps a golf school, a practice ground and a pro shop, and a spa with a sauna and a Turkish bath for the end of the day. A seasonal outdoor pool sits in the garden.
