The hotel
A new palace on the Amer road.
Raffles Jaipur opened in July 2024, the brand's second hotel in the Indian subcontinent after Raffles Udaipur. It was built from scratch at Kukas, north of the old city towards Amer, with the Aravalli hills behind it. Rajasthani craftsmen carved the sandstone columns of the courtyard, each after a different period of the state's architecture, and guests are first received in a shikar tent.
The plan mixes Mughal and Rajput forms: domed chhatris, arches, atriums and jaali screens, mirrored doors and painted corridors. The MICHELIN Guide calls it a modern palace in soft pink and shadowed stone, and gave it two Keys. On the roof, an infinity pool is lined with torches, and musicians play the flute and sarangi by day. Below, the spa has hot and cold mineral pools.
- The rooftop An infinity pool lit by mashaal torches, chhatri domes and Sehara, a bar with Mediterranean plates.
- Writers Bar Cocktails made with spices and herbs from the hotel garden, the Jaipur Sling among them, and a wine cellar down a spiral stair.
- The spa About 620 square metres, with hot and cold mineral pools, a sauna and a Turkish bath.
