The hotel

Barefoot on the beach road.

La Zebra belongs to Colibri Boutique Hotels, a small Tulum group, and is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. It stands at kilometre 8.2 of the road to Boca Paila, with every suite and casita built directly on the sand and facing the sea. In the spring of 2017 the jungle plot at the resort hosted Noma Mexico, René Redzepi's seven-week pop-up.

The style is barefoot: a beach bar, a Mexican kitchen using what is in season, craft beer and local wine. Children are welcome at any age, with tortilla and guacamole workshops, crafts and piñata parties, while adults have the spa, the yoga shala on the beach and the rooftop bar. In 2026 the MICHELIN Guide gave La Zebra its first Key.

  • On the sand Every suite and casita is built on the beach itself, with the Caribbean in view.
  • For families Guests of every age, cots, babysitting and children's workshops, plus mini golf.
  • Up on the roof A rooftop terrace with a pool and a bar.
