The city
Two cities across the bay.
Miami is really two places. On the mainland are Downtown and Brickell, the galleries and murals of Wynwood and the Design District, and the old trees of Coconut Grove. Across Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach runs north from the pastel hotels of South Beach to Mid-Beach and Surfside.
Winter is the season. From November to April the days are around 24 to 27 °C, the rain is light and the sea stays at 24 °C or more. Summer is hotter and much wetter, with heavy afternoon storms.

When to go
November to April.
A dry winter and a wet summer, warm throughout. November to April is the season: highs of 24 to 27 °C, little rain and a sea of 24 to 26 °C. From May to October the rain comes in heavy afternoon storms, and the hurricane season runs through the summer and autumn.
