The hotel
The Ciprianis in the Grove.
The C is for Cipriani. Ignazio and Maggio Cipriani, fourth-generation restaurateurs, started the Mr. C hotels in Beverly Hills and New York, and Coconut Grove was their third, opened in the spring of 2019. Arquitectonica, the Miami firm, drew a new building with a nautical profile, and every room has its own balcony facing the bay or the Grove. The building holds LEED certification.
Inside, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio took its cue from an Italian yacht: glossy timber panelling, headboards in blue and caramel leather, blue and white fabrics. Bellini, the restaurant, sits on the top floor beside the pool and is run by the family. A ballroom shares the top floor, with the bay on one side. The MICHELIN Guide gave the hotel one Key in 2026.
- Bellini on the roof The family's Italian restaurant on the top floor, indoors or out, with Biscayne Bay below.
- The rooftop pool Kept for hotel guests, with cabanas and views across Coconut Grove, Brickell and out to South Beach.
- A beach across the bay Guests have reserved chairs and towels on the sand in Miami Beach, and Mr. C bicycles for the Grove.
