The hotel

Apartments in the hill country.

Araliya Green City opened on 26 August 2017 as the flagship of the Araliya Group, a Sri Lankan company that started in 1994 with rice and moved into property and tourism. President Maithripala Sirisena attended the opening. It was the group's first five-star hotel, built on Glen Fall Road, close to the town centre and near Victoria Park, Mount Pedro and the golf course.

From the start it set out to house families for longer stays. Besides its guest rooms, it has apartment-style suites, fully serviced, and the Royal Suite has two bedrooms, each with a bathroom of its own, a living room and a kitchenette. The indoor pool is heated and looks out over the town, and the spa follows Balinese tradition. Banqueting and conference rooms complete the house.
