The hotel
On the sand at Golden Bay.
The Golden Bay Beach Hotel stands on the Dhekelia Road east of Larnaca, at the edge of the resort strip that follows the curve of the bay. The town centre is about ten kilometres back along the coast. The building rises five floors above mature gardens, and the beach in front is wide and sandy, with loungers kept for guests.
A lagoon-shaped pool runs through the gardens towards the sea, and there is a heated indoor pool as well. Rooms range from inland and side sea views up to Mini Suites, Grand Suites and a Presidential Suite, some of them with a whirlpool of their own outside. Connecting rooms take families of up to six, and there is a free kids' club. Four restaurants, among them a Cypriot taverna open in summer, share the grounds.
