The hotel

Hyatt's first address in Uzbekistan.

The Hyatt Regency opened in October 2016, the first hotel of the brand in Uzbekistan. It stands on Navoi Street in the administrative heart of Tashkent, among government offices, embassies and company headquarters, with the National Library, the Amir Temur Museum, Mustaqillik Square and Chorsu Bazaar all within easy reach. Meetings take 2,300 square metres, including a ballroom of 855 square metres in its own building next door.

Of its three hundred rooms, fifty-two are suites, up to a single Presidential Suite. The Regency Club lounge takes the sixth floor. Above it, the seventh floor holds Sette, an Italian restaurant facing the skyline, and a bar that opens late in the afternoon, with a DJ and a terrace for warm evenings. Downstairs, Khiva cooks Uzbek dishes all day.

Tashkent International, for scheduled flights, is about 7 kilometres away, roughly twenty minutes by car according to the hotel. Private jets now land at Tashkent-Humo International, about 25 to 30 minutes from the centre.
