The hotel

One island, twelve beaches.

One&Only Reethi Rah opened in May 2005 on one of the largest islands in North Malé Atoll. Its shore runs to about six kilometres and holds twelve beaches. Local craftsmen thatched the villas, and the interiors use coconut shell, sea grass, silk and mahogany, with espresso machines and deep terrazzo baths.

Beach villas sit in dense planting, at least twenty yards from the next. The water villas stand on stilts over the lagoon. The resort is close to Malé: a launch from the airport covers about twenty-two miles in under an hour, so no seaplane is needed. Seven restaurants and bars share the island with a spa that holds the first Watsu pool in the country.

  • Botanica Dinner under the trees in the gardens, fresh and seasonal, farm to fork.
  • The spa One&Only Spa, with vitality pools, saunas and the first Watsu pool in the Maldives.
  • For families KidsOnly for younger children and OneTribe for older ones.
