The hotel
An island built for wellbeing.
JOALI BEING is the sister of JOALI Maldives in the same atoll, and it opened at the end of 2021 as a resort given over entirely to wellbeing. Bodufushi covers about fourteen hectares. Villas stand on the beach or over the water, in turquoise, rose and pale grey, with canopy beds, freestanding tubs and meditation instruments in the room. Each of the sixty-eight villas has its own pool and a butler.
The programme rests on four pillars: mind, skin, microbiome and energy. Naturopaths, nutritionists and movement teachers build stays from five nights to three weeks. Food follows the same line, earth to table, in FLOW, an open space with three kitchens. A marine biologist on the island runs coral restoration and a turtle rehabilitation centre. Since 1 July 2026 the island has kept its own clock, an hour ahead of Malé.
- Immersions Guided programmes of five nights to three weeks, set with a consultation on arrival.
- Water therapy The AKL Hydrotherapy Hall, and signature treatments such as Weightless Watsu.
- Under the surface Coral planting and turtle care with the resident marine biologist.
