The hotel
On the residential point.
Pointe Milou is a mostly residential headland on the north coast of St Barth, and Hotel Christopher sits on the hillside at its tip, looking west towards St Jean Bay. There is no beach below, only rocks and the sea; the pool at the cliff edge does that job. The MICHELIN Guide calls it more relaxed than the island's grandest addresses, and gave it one Key.
The hurricanes of 2017 closed the hotel. It reopened on 17 October 2018, with every room refreshed, and the works went on in stages: a new restaurant, the Sisley spa facing the ocean, and finally villas with four bedrooms and their own pools, designed inside by Olivia Putman, the first of which opened in January 2019. Since 2021 the hotel has held Green Globe certification.
- The infinity pool A freshwater pool on the clifftop, with a shallow end for children and the sea beyond the edge.
- Spa Sisley Treatment rooms that open towards the ocean, with massages drawn from local traditions and aromatherapy.
- Close to the bays Grand Cul-de-Sac and Lorient are about seven minutes away by car, Saline and Saint-Jean about ten.
