The hotel

Where Zannier Hotels began.

In 2011 Arnaud Zannier found a large chalet for sale on the route du Crêt, outside Megève, and bought it. It became the first house of Zannier Hotels, and today a staff of about forty looks after twelve rooms. The tourist office lists Le Chalet as three large Alpine chalets, about two kilometres from the village, with an indoor pool, a hammam and a sauna.

Inside, the rooms keep to wood, linen and stone: vaulted ceilings with rough-hewn beams, white sofas, stone fireplaces and handmade pottery. With only twelve rooms and suites, the house is often booked whole by one family or a group of friends, so the MICHELIN Guide advises planning well ahead. Out of season it runs as a bed and breakfast, with the spa, the pool and the restaurant closed.

Getting there

Flying to Megève.

Geneva is the airport for scheduled flights and for private jets, which use its business aviation terminal. Megève is about an hour and a quarter by road, slower in high season, and a helicopter from Geneva takes about twenty-five minutes.

Business & First Class Airline flights Geneva has the widest choice of scheduled flights, across Europe and to the Gulf and North America. In high season the roads into the valley can be slow, and the drive can take much longer than usual.
