The hotel
The first St. Regis in Canada.
The tower at 325 Bay Street rises 65 storeys, 276.9 metres, designed by Zeidler Partnership. It opened in 2012 as the Trump International Hotel and Tower, went into receivership four years later, and was bought by InnVest in 2017. After a year of work it took the St. Regis name on 28 November 2018, the first hotel of the brand in Canada.
The hotel fills floors two to thirty-one and private residences take the rest. DesignAgency redid the interiors. Two former meeting rooms on the thirtieth floor became the Astor suites, and the old restaurant on the top hotel floor became Louix Louis, under a ceiling mural by Madison van Rijn painted to look like a swirling drink.
- Louix Louis A grand bar and restaurant of 130 seats on the 31st floor, with more than 500 dark spirits behind the bar.
- Astor Lounge The lobby lounge, where a bottle of champagne is sabred every day and afternoon tea is served.
- St. Regis butlers Butler service for every guest, from the morning coffee to pressing a suit.
