The hotel

A modern Ritz-Carlton downtown.

The Ritz-Carlton opened on 16 February 2011 in a 53-storey tower by Kohn Pedersen Fox and Page and Steele. The hotel takes the lower floors and private residences fill the rest. The MICHELIN Guide notes that the look is more modern than most hotels of the brand, and that the spa holds its own against any in town.

The address is a practical one. The office towers of the Financial District are a short walk east, the theatres of King Street close by and the Rogers Centre a few minutes on foot. An underground link to the PATH means winter mornings can be spent indoors all the way to Union Station.

  • Room to spread out Every room is at least 450 square feet, with floor-to-ceiling windows over the lake or the city.
  • Club Level Suites come with access to the Club Lounge, with food and drink set out through the day.
  • Pool and gym An indoor pool with a hot tub and a fitness centre, both open while the spa is renovated.
