The hotel
Back where the brand began.
Four Seasons was founded in Toronto in 1961, and this is the hotel the company calls its global flagship. It opened in October 2012 in Yorkville, among galleries and the shops of Bloor Street, in a 55-storey glass tower by architectsAlliance with Page + Steele. A second, 26-storey tower holds 210 private residences. The landscape design is by Claude Cormier + Associés with NAK Design Group.
Yabu Pushelberg did the original interiors, and DesignAgency has since renovated the rooms and suites. Daniel Boulud runs the French brasserie downstairs, in a room by Martin Brudnizki. The MICHELIN Guide gave the hotel two Keys in its first Canadian selection in 2024 and again in 2026, singling out the service; Forbes rates the hotel and its spa at five stars.
