The hotel
Over the bay at Shiodome.
Conrad Tokyo opened on 1 July 2005 in the top ten floors of the Tokyo Shiodome Building, a 37-storey tower in Shiodome, next to the station of the same name. The lobby is on the 28th floor, and from there the windows look over the Hamarikyu Gardens to Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge. The 2005 plan gave the hotel 290 rooms, 68 of them suites, and a spa and fitness floor of 1,400 square metres.
The rooms were planned large for Tokyo: at least 48 square metres, with ceilings three metres high and glass from floor to ceiling. Most of the original restaurants have changed since the opening, and today there are four, from French at Collage to sushi and kaiseki at Kazahana. The Toyosu fish market is about four kilometres away, and a 25-metre pool waits upstairs after the flight.
- The pool A 25-metre indoor pool, included in the stay, with Mizuki Spa & Fitness alongside.
- The view The Hamarikyu Gardens directly below, then Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge.
- TwentyEight The bar and lounge on the 28th floor, the lobby level, for cocktails, beers and whiskies.
