The hotel
A football club's house in the old town.
FC Bayern World opened on 9 December 2020 on Weinstraße, a few steps from Marienplatz, with the club's flagship store on the lower floors. Its facade is in sgraffito, modelled on historic buildings of 1872. The hotel takes the second to fourth floors and opened its doors in the summer of 2021. Above it, on the fifth floor, an event room looks out at the towers of the Frauenkirche.
DO & CO, the listed Vienna caterer that has run FC Bayern's VIP and public catering since 2014, runs it as the sequel to its hotel in Vienna. The rooms nod to the club's German championships, in oak parquet, natural stone and large oak windows. Many look onto the Frauenkirche or the Town Hall, and the Penthouse Loft Suite on top has a roof terrace of 70 square metres facing the cathedral, with a kitchen and a long dining table inside.
- The Frauenkirche next door The cathedral's two towers rise close by, in view from the restaurant terrace and many of the rooms.
- Two DO & CO restaurants Sushi and robata on the first floor, Mediterranean plates in the bistro below, both run by the house that caters for FC Bayern.
- Marienplatz on the doorstep The S-Bahn station is fifty metres away, and the S8 runs straight to the airport.
