The hotel

Belle Époque by the Villa Kérylos.

The Royal-Riviera was built in 1904, a grand hotel of the Belle Époque on the Cap Ferrat peninsula, between Nice and Monaco. Its neighbours set the tone: the Villa Kérylos next door inspired the hotel's neo-Hellenistic decoration, and the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and La Rotonde stand close by. Today it belongs to The Leading Hotels of the World, and it closes for about seven weeks each winter.

The hotel reopened in 1999 after a major transformation, and has been renovated again since. Rooms divide between the main building, where many face the sea, and the Villa l'Orangerie, set apart over the pool and the Renaissance-style gardens. The garden covers about two hectares, and the hotel has its own sandy beach. Monaco and central Nice are each about fifteen minutes by road.

  • The beach A private sandy beach from mid-May to the end of September, with watersports arranged through Cap Ferrat Watersports.
  • A pool for every season The outdoor pool is heated all year, with Bar Jasmin beside it.
  • Wellness THALGO treatments, a fitness room, sauna and hammam.
