The hotel
Kitzbühel meets Colorado.
The Grand Tirolia stands on the Eichenheim estate, beside its 18-hole championship course. It changed hands in April 2018, closed for that spring and summer, and reopened before Christmas with a brief its owners summed up as Kitzbühel meets Colorado. Natural wood, Alpine views and a lobby bar and library with an open fire set the tone, and a ballroom takes up to three hundred people.
Hommage Hotels took over and reopened it after a full renovation at the end of December 2022. Two years later a new wing of 41 rooms and 28 suites arrived, built in just under two years, with a family spa over two floors and a cinema for children. In October 2024 the MICHELIN Guide gave the hotel two Keys, the highest award in Kitzbühel in that first Austrian selection.
- Grand Alps Spa Indoor and outdoor pools, a large sauna area and a 288 square metre yoga room, kept for guests aged twelve and over.
- Golf from the terrace The Eichenheim championship course runs past the hotel, and guests pay a reduced green fee.
- The Golden A jazz club and bar with live music through the season, for after the slopes or after dinner.
