The hotel

The old Vista Palace, rebuilt.

The hotel stands on the site of the Vista Palace, built in the 1950s on the rock above Cap Martin. The Maybourne group, owner of Claridge's and The Connaught in London, bought it in 2016 and spent five years rebuilding. Jean-Michel Wilmotte designed the new building; Pierre Yovanovitch and BOS Studio did the interiors, with glass, ceramics and furniture made by local craftsmen.

It opened in 2021. The gardens were replanted with lemon and olive trees, and an infinity pool was cut into the cliff. Since 2025 the top floor has belonged to abc kitchens riviera by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and three floors to Surrenne, the group's wellbeing club. Down on the water at Cap Martin, the beach club is run with the Lecorché brothers of La Môme in Cannes.

Flying to Monaco.

Every flight lands at Nice Côte d'Azur, private jets at its business aviation terminal. By road the hotel is about 30 to 45 minutes away, our estimate, depending on traffic. The helicopter to Monaco takes seven minutes, and from Fontvieille the hotel is a short drive east.
