The hotel
The first Reserve, on the Andaman Sea.
Phulay Bay was the first hotel in the Ritz-Carlton Reserve line. The Thai architect Lek Bunnag designed both the buildings and the interiors, with traditional Thai motifs in modern rooms. Guests arrive at a wooden pavilion, and the spa fills three Thai pavilions over two levels, with eleven treatment rooms run by ESPA. The resort stands at Nongthalay, forty kilometres from Krabi airport.
The setting is the Krabi shore of Phang Nga Bay, where limestone karsts rise out of the sea and the land behind is national forest. All 54 villas and pavilions have one bedroom, a pool and a butler on call around the clock. The MICHELIN Guide gave the resort three Keys in its first Thai selection in 2024, and it still holds them in 2026.
- A butler for each villa Every villa and pavilion has a personal butler, on call at any hour of the day or night.
- The spa An ESPA spa with eleven treatment rooms, a vitality pool, saunas and steam rooms.
