The city
A harbour made for yachts.
Göcek is a town of about five thousand people that lives by the boat. Six marinas share its bay, and some twenty charter and brokerage firms work from its quays, alongside the chandlers and yards that keep sailing and motor yachts at sea; this is where many blue cruises begin and end.
The season is long: from April to October the days run from 21 to 33 °C, and the water stays above 23 °C from June to October. Summer lifts the town past seven thousand people; June and September are less crowded, with the sea already, or still, above 23 °C.
- The twelve islands Twelve islands scattered through the bay, the main reason the yachts come here.
- The marinas From D-Marin to the municipal quay, six marinas share the waterfront of a town of five thousand.
- The blue cruise Göcek is a home port for the blue cruise, several days afloat along this coast with a crew.
