The hotel
A small hotel on a game reserve.
The hotel stands on the Nakavango Estate, inside the Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve, a short drive south of the town and the Zambian border. It was previously known as the Stanley & Livingstone Boutique Hotel. The building reads as a small country hotel more than a safari lodge, with chandeliers in the dining room and verandas opening onto the gardens.
Minor Hotels took it into the Anantara brand on 1 December 2024, its first hotel in Zimbabwe and a sister to The Royal Livingstone across the river. In September 2026 the MICHELIN Guide gave it two Keys in its first Zimbabwe selection, the first Anantara in Africa to receive any. Drives on the reserve bring sightings of black rhino, elephant and zebra, and the falls themselves are about fifteen minutes away by car.
- Rhino on the doorstep Game drives and walks on the private reserve, and a black rhino conservation experience that ends with dinner in the bush.
- Gin at sunset A tasting on the garden terrace, looking over a watering hole where elephants come to drink.
- The falls A guided walk along the rainforest paths to the viewpoints, about fifteen minutes away by car.
