The hotel
All-inclusive, for grown-ups.
The resort stands at Agia Paraskevi, on the stretch of coast between Agios Nikolaos and Elounda, looking across the Gulf of Mirabello. Domes Resorts runs it, and in May 2023 it joined Hilton's Curio Collection after a renovation of 6.8 million euros that redid every restaurant and bar, the common areas and the dining deck, and added new suites.
The design takes its cue from the Cretan hills: grey and beige textured surfaces, Aegean blue fabrics, balconies on every room. Meals and drinks are part of the stay, which Domes calls Cool Inclusive. The beach is a private shingle cove a few minutes away, and Spinalonga, the old Venetian island fortress, lies a short way up the coast.

Flying to Elounda.
Heraklion airport is about an hour away by car, our estimate, along the north coast road east. Private jets land at Heraklion too, with a slot and prior permission in summer, so the drive is the same.
