The hotel

Three beaches and a golf course.

Lemuria opened in December 1999 on the north-west tip of Praslin, the second largest island in the Seychelles. The estate covers 101 hectares and touches three beaches: Petite Anse Kerlan, Grande Anse Kerlan and, over a granite headland, Anse Georgette. The suites run along the shore, none of them more than about fifteen metres from the water, under palm-thatched roofs.

Constance renovated the whole resort in 2016 and added large villas that open straight onto the sand, each with its own pool and a villa master. Today the count stands at 88 Junior Suites, eight Senior Suites, eight Pool Villas and one Presidential Villa. Behind the beaches, an eighteen-hole championship course climbs the hillside, par 70, the only full course in the country. In the MICHELIN Guide, Lemuria holds two Keys.

  • Anse Georgette A walk or a buggy ride from the suites. Constance calls it one of the three most beautiful beaches in the world; granite boulders close it at each end.
  • Eighteen holes A par-70 course of 5,611 metres over the hills of the estate. Green fees are included for guests; buggies are compulsory and charged.
  • In the water Snorkelling, kayaks, windsurfing and Hobie sailing are free, with PADI diving and deep-sea fishing at extra cost.
