The hotel

Gabala's first big resort.

Qafqaz Riverside opened on 29 July 2010, with President Ilham Aliyev at the ribbon. Gilan Tourism began building it in 2008, as one of the group's largest projects. The main building rises seven storeys, and cottages are spread across sixteen hectares of grounds. American dishes are served in the cottages, while the main building holds a restaurant of 150 seats, a cafeteria of 300, several bars and conference rooms.

Inside, the rooms run from Superior rooms up through Junior, Deluxe and Duplex suites to the King Suites. A sauna, a Turkish bath and a gym sit beside the indoor pool, and there is an outdoor pool in the grounds. Qabaland, the town's amusement park, is a minute away, and the hotel has its own play area for children. There are billiards and table tennis too.
