The hotel
A week by the lake.
Chenot Palace opened in 2017 by Nohur Lake, at the foot of the Caucasus in northern Azerbaijan. Henri Chenot built his method over more than four decades: short, strict programmes that pair a diet with treatments meant to help the body clear itself and rebalance. Michel Jouannet designed the interiors with wide windows, wooden floors and plain furniture. The palace holds 72 bedrooms, and three villas stand apart, each with a spa of its own.
The heart of the place is a medical spa of 6,000 square metres with more than a hundred specialists. It runs a cryotherapy chamber at minus 110 degrees, altitude training, anti-gravity equipment and a laboratory for metabolic and sports tests. A stay lasts seven to fourteen nights and begins with a detox dinner on the day you arrive. Treatments run on six days, never on the days of arrival and departure.

Before you go.
- Arrival Check-in from 3 pm on any day of the week, check-out at 2 pm. Stays run seven to fourteen nights.
- Diet Every guest follows the Chenot detox diet during the programme. Bathrobes are fine by day; dinner is smart casual.
- Children Welcome, with meals served in the room. The programme itself is open from 16 to 18 with a parent.
- Pets Small dogs only, up to 6 kg, one per room, in rooms without carpets.
Getting there
Flying to Gabala.
Gabala International is about 30 km away, some forty minutes by car by our estimate; it works seasonally for airlines and also takes private flights. Baku's Heydar Aliyev International, with the main scheduled connections, is about 220 km by road, and the hotel books transfers in advance.
