The hotel

The third Meliá on Sal, for adults.

When Meliá opened its Dunas resort in 2014, Llana was already on the plans as the next one, the third for the group on Sal after Tortuga Beach. It opened in December 2016, all inclusive and for adults only. It was the group's fourth hotel in Cabo Verde, and the press release at the time described it as a resort built around an activity programme for adults.

It stands beside Algodoeiro beach on the south-west coast, about three and a half kilometres from the town centre, with a coral reef offshore. Inside, the days run between two pools, the YHI Spa and seven restaurants, from an Asian bistro to Marés, which cooks with produce from the island. In the evenings there is live music, DJs and shows.

  • Swim-up rooms Rooms of about 48 square metres that open onto the pool, in standard and The Level versions.
  • The Level A private pool, The Level Bar and Lounge with a cocktail reception every day, and breakfast served at Casa Nostra.
  • YHI Spa Six massage rooms, two of them for couples, with a sauna, a Turkish bath and a relaxation area.
