The hotel

The sister on the same beach.

The Sandpiper belongs to the family that owns Coral Reef Club, its sister hotel at Holetown, and Wayne and Karen Capaldi run it day to day. It sits on a sandy bay at Holetown on the west coast, under half a mile on foot from the shops and restaurants of the town, in tropical gardens that run down to the sand.

The buildings are low and white, spread over three floors, and every room and suite has its own terrace or balcony. The one- and two-bedroom suites have kitchens and living rooms, and sleep up to five. Above them sit three Tree Top Suites; one, Curlew, has a plunge pool and a terrace facing the sea. The hotel is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

  • Tree Top Suites Whimbrel, Sanderling and Curlew, set up among the branches; Curlew adds a plunge pool and a table for six on its terrace.
  • Harold's Beach Bar At the water's edge, for lunch and cocktails at sundown.
  • On the water Non-motorised watersports are included, straight off the hotel's beach.
