The hotel

Across the road from the terminal.

Bahrain International Airport sits on Muharraq Island, and the Mövenpick is just across from it, on a lagoon on the island's edge. The tourism board puts the drive at about two minutes. Downtown Manama is less than ten minutes away over the causeways, and the old lanes of Muharraq town are closer still. The hotel has 96 rooms and 10 suites, and many of them look out over the water.

The hotel has been through what Mövenpick calls a complete transformation, taking in the rooms, suites, restaurants and bars. The lobby lounge sits under a glass roof, and the infinity pool runs along the lagoon. It works for an overnight between flights, and for a few days in Bahrain as well. Silk's Restaurant, the Gallery Lobby Lounge and Xenia Bar and Lounge cover the day from breakfast to late cocktails, and room service runs around the clock.

Very close. The hotel is beside Bahrain International on Muharraq Island, about two minutes by car, and it runs a paid shuttle that should be booked ahead.
Does the hotel have a spa and pool?
Yes. Rimal Spa has twelve treatment rooms and two hammam suites, and the outdoor infinity pool looks over the lagoon. There is no indoor pool.
How far is Manama?
Less than ten minutes by car to downtown Manama, according to the hotel.
