The hotel
From a Chiang Mai teak house to Sukhumvit.
The first 137 Pillars is a teak-framed house in Chiang Mai. The Bangkok hotel followed in April 2017, a tower on Soi 39 between Phrom Phong and Thonglor. It holds two hotels in one: 34 suites, named after periods of Thai history, and 179 serviced residences with kitchens for longer stays. Each suite has a marble bathroom with a bath facing the skyline, and the Rattanakosin Suites add a dining room and a wine cellar.
Suite guests have their own club on the 26th floor for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks, a butler each, and a rooftop pool that never closes. The spa sits on the 28th floor. In the street below waits Louie, a navy London cab, for drives around the city. The MICHELIN Guide gave the Suites one Key in its 2026 Thailand selection.
- Two pools An infinity pool with jacuzzis on the 27th floor for every guest, and a zero-edge rooftop pool, open 24 hours, for suite guests.
- Baan Borneo Club The suite guests' lounge on the 26th floor, for breakfast, afternoon tea and sundowners.
- Nitra Serenity Centre The spa on the 28th floor, with Thai massage and a 90-minute sleep therapy.
