The hotel
A French address on the lake.
Sofitel Ambassador Seoul opened on 30 September 2021, the first Sofitel in Korea and the first anywhere to combine a hotel with serviced residences under the one name. It has 403 rooms and 160 residences, and stands on the edge of Seokchon Lake, a few minutes on foot from Jamsil station and Lotte World Mall. Club Millésime and a roof bar share the 32nd floor.
The lake is one of the best places in Seoul for cherry blossom in spring, and many rooms look straight over it. Across the water rises the 101-storey Lotte World Tower. The kitchens and bars lean French: a bistro, a Parisian lounge for afternoon tea, a café with a chocolate room, and a bar on the 32nd floor. MIO, the Japanese room, serves omakase with craft sake.
