The hotel
Art Deco on the Paseo.
Paseo de la Reforma was laid out in the 1860s under Emperor Maximilian to link the old city with Chapultepec. The Marquis stands on its western stretch at number 465, with the Angel of Independence a walk away in one direction and the park in the other. The building is Art Deco in its lines, and the interiors carry Art Nouveau touches as well.
The hotel belongs to The Leading Hotels of the World, and Condé Nast Traveler put it on its Gold List in 2005. The financial district is within walking distance, and the Sevilla metro station is four minutes on foot. Rooms look over Chapultepec or towards the Angel, and Los Canarios has its tables at the windows over the avenue.
- Spa Marquis More than 1,500 square metres and over sixty treatments. The hotel also has a pool and a jogging track.
- Terraza Santino Tuscan cooking, fresh pasta and a raw bar of oysters and Mediterranean seafood, with cocktails in the evening.
- Between park and Angel Chapultepec Park and the Angel of Independence are both within walking distance.
