The hotel
Hyatt's first address in the capital.
Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya opened in January 2017, the group's first hotel in Riyadh and its third in Saudi Arabia. The tower was developed by the Riyadh company Mohammed A. Al-Swailem, rises 28 floors above Olaya Road and wears a modern take on the mashrabiya, the carved wooden screen of old Arabian houses. Inside are 257 rooms and suites, a ballroom and eight smaller event rooms.
Olaya is where the city does business. Olaya Towers, the Centria mall and Tahlia Street are all within a walk, and the King Abdullah Financial District is a short drive north. The hotel is built for that week: a club lounge high in the tower, a spa and an indoor pool for the evenings, and the 56th Avenue Diner, open from breakfast to dinner.
- Regency Club The lounge on the 26th floor, open to guests in club rooms, with breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks and snacks.
- Sokoun Spa Four treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room and a hammam, beside a temperature-controlled indoor pool.
- On foot to Tahlia Tahlia Street, Olaya Towers and the Centria mall are within walking distance.
