The hotel
A hotel inside the tower.
Kingdom Centre was finished in 2002, a 302-metre tower by Ellerbe Becket and the Riyadh firm Omrania, with a bridge slung across its top. The Four Seasons opened inside it in February 2003, owned like the tower by Kingdom Holding. Its rooms start on the thirtieth floor, so north-facing windows look over the Financial District and south-facing ones over Old Riyadh.
HBA redesigned the rooms in 2020, taking colours from the city's name, which means garden, and working with Alwaleed Philanthropies on local art. Further work, Forbes reports, is under way until early 2027 while the hotel stays open. Daniel Boulud runs the kitchen at Café Boulud, and inside it a room of a dozen seats called Julien serves a tasting menu.
- The Sky Bridge A 65-metre walkway at the top of the tower, nearly three hundred metres above the city; best at sunset.
- Daniel Boulud Café Boulud for French cooking with roots in Lyon, and Julien, a private ten-course menu at the open kitchen.
- Health club More than 3,400 square metres with a squash court, a private ladies' gym, and a 25-metre outdoor pool.
