The hotel

André Fu's Wan Chai house.

The St. Regis opened on 11 April 2019, the brand's first hotel in Hong Kong, built with China Resources Property on Harbour Drive in Wan Chai. The tower has twenty-seven storeys and only 129 rooms and suites. The Convention and Exhibition Centre and Golden Bauhinia Square are close, and the Wan Chai Ferry Pier is about ten minutes on foot. Every guest has a butler, on call day and night.

André Fu, a Hong Kong designer, did the interiors, his second hotel in Hong Kong. He took cues from the St. Regis in New York and drew on old Hong Kong: lanterns after the city's old gas lamps, shutters from the shophouses. The Great Room lobby rises to thirty-two feet, and at half past five each evening a bottle of champagne is opened with a sabre.

  • Butlers Butler service around the clock, for unpacking, pressing and anything else, reached by phone, app, WhatsApp or WeChat.
  • The Athletic Club and Spa A floor of its own, with a gym, the spa and an outdoor pool kept at temperature, with a bar beside it all year.
  • The Canto Mary The St. Regis Bar's house drink, a trio of Bloody Marys flavoured after Hong Kong, served with live jazz every night.
