The hotel
A century-old front on the harbour.
The building went up in 1917 on Plaza Lasala, where the old town meets the fishing port and the curve of La Concha begins. Its period façade was restored when the hotel opened in 2018. Behind it, the rooms were rebuilt in a contemporary style, in blue and grey, with modern furniture and contemporary art on the walls.
The hotel belongs to the San Sebastián group Sade Hoteles and takes only adults. It has held a MICHELIN Key for three years running. The basilica of Santa María del Coro and the pintxos bars of the Parte Vieja are a short walk, and guests may drive into the old town.
- Rooftop by Lasala Plaza An open terrace with a pool and solarium, the bay, the port and the old town all around. The bar up here runs in summer.
- Port and square Sea View rooms look over the harbour and La Concha; Historical rooms face the square that gives the hotel its name.
- Pintxos on foot The bars of the Parte Vieja start within five minutes of the door, with several MICHELIN restaurants a short walk further.

Getting there
Flying to San Sebastián.
San Sebastián airport, at Hondarribia on the French border, is about 20 kilometres east, roughly 25 minutes by car by our estimate. Its short runway limits the size of jet, so larger private aircraft land at Biarritz, about 50 kilometres up the coast, our estimate. Bilbao is the other choice for scheduled flights.
- Madrid 50 min
- Barcelona 50 min
