The hotel

Emile Duhon's palace, rebuilt.

The hotel has stood on the avenue des Forces Armées Royales since 1953, in a building by the architect Emile Duhon in the Art Deco centre near the port. Muhammad Ali, Charles Aznavour and Johnny Hallyday all stayed here. It was the first five-star hotel in the city. After eight years of work it reopened on 15 April 2024 under the Royal Mansour name, the group's second hotel after Marrakech.

The rebuilding kept the modernist lines of the 1950s, the patio and the grand staircase. Inside are marble, inlaid woods and stone from Brazil and Namibia, and a large Amazonian aquarium in the lobby. A double panoramic lift rises to the twenty-third floor, where the dining room looks over the city to the ocean and the Hassan II Mosque. Spa and fitness fill two more floors.

  • The twenty-third floor La Grande Table Marocaine sits at the top of the building, with a 360-degree view of Casablanca and the Atlantic.
  • A spa over two floors About 2,510 square metres of spa and fitness, with a traditional hammam and, on the twentieth floor, a barber of its own.
  • Suites with a story Some suites have record players, others display couture gowns behind glass. The largest run to four bedrooms.
