The hotel

A 1920s house, rebuilt for sixteen guests.

The Tannenhof went up in the 1920s, and for decades it was where St. Anton's smart set gathered after a day on the Arlberg. In 2011 it was rebuilt piece by piece and restored to its former standing, now for far fewer guests. Today there are seven suites across three floors, each in its own design and each with an open fireplace.

With sixteen guests at most and a staff of twenty-four, the house runs closer to a private chalet than a hotel. The gourmet restaurant downstairs won its second MICHELIN star in January 2025 under Dennis Ilies, who hosts with Brigitta Rainer. Guests who fly in by helicopter land at the village heliport, where a hotel car is waiting to drive them the last stretch to the door.

  • Gourmetrestaurant Tannenhof Two stars, menus of four or six courses under the title Taste the Alps, Discover the World, and a terrace above the village.
  • Day spa A 15 by 5 metre indoor pool, a hot tub and saunas indoors and out, with treatments using Alpine herbs.
  • Arrival by air A helicopter to the St. Anton heliport, a hotel car to the door, and a free shuttle round the village in winter.

Every suite has its own fireplace and its own design, spread across the three floors of the house.
