The hotel
From Holt's Wharf to Victoria Dockside.
The site was Holt's Wharf, a godown terminal built in 1910, and later the New World Centre. New World Development cleared it for Victoria Dockside, a waterfront district of art, offices and shops, and Kohn Pedersen Fox drew the tower that holds the hotel. Rosewood Hong Kong opened there on 17 March 2019 as the group's flagship, with 413 rooms and suites and 186 residences.
The New York designer Tony Chi did the interiors, mixing East and West and old and new, and the hotel hangs a changing collection of art. In 2025 it was named No. 1 in The World's 50 Best Hotels, and it kept the title in September 2026. The same month the MICHELIN Guide gave it three Keys for a second year, the only Hong Kong hotel with three.
