Business & First Class

How a negotiated fare works.

The seat is the airline’s, and the ticket is in your name. What changes is the price, and the way it reaches you.

The principle

What a broker does.

Airlines do not sell every seat in the front cabins at the price shown in public search. Part of each cabin is sold through consolidator contracts and private tariffs: fares agreed with agencies, which never appear on booking sites.

We price those fares for your route and your dates, side by side with the published one, and put the best of them in front of you. On many long-haul routes the negotiated fare comes in below the published one. On some dates the published fare is the best one available, and then that is the one we show you.

You fly on the flight you would have booked yourself, in the same seat.

The questions

What people ask before they book

01

Is it a real ticket?

Yes. The ticket is issued by the airline, in your name, for a seat in the cabin you chose. You travel on the airline’s own ticket, not on a voucher, and once it is issued you can find the booking on the airline’s website with its reference.

02

Is the cabin the same?

You sit in the same seat and get the same service on board as any other passenger in that cabin. Lounge access and baggage follow the airline’s own rules for that cabin and that fare.

03

Why is the fare not on booking sites?

Because the airline agreed it on condition that it is not published. That condition keeps it below the public price, and it is also why you have to ask for it.

04

Do I earn miles?

That depends on the airline and on the fare. Tell us your frequent flyer programme when you ask, and we check before you book.

05

What if the flight changes?

Ticketing, seat selection, disruption handling and rebooking are handled by our team for the life of the ticket.

06

Who am I dealing with?

SkyCourtage is an independent broker, not an airline. When you buy a scheduled cabin through us, the carrier is the airline, and its conditions of carriage apply.

Before you pay

What you see first.

Nothing is booked until you have read the offer and said yes. The offer names:

  • The airline and the flights, with their times
  • The cabin
  • The conditions of the fare: what a change costs, and whether it can be refunded
  • A firm price

Tell us the route, the dates and the cabin. That is enough for our team to start pricing.

Ask for a fare

Send the route, see the fare.

Tell us the route, the dates and the cabin, and we come back with the airline, the flights and a firm price.
